Summons for “Big Joke”, four others

According to deputy federal police chief Pol Gen Sarawut Kanpanich, a Royal Thai Police administrative sensor board will summon the suspended deputy national authorities key Pol Gen Surachate” Big Joke” Hakparn and four additional police officers to respond to a critical administrative violation accusation.

On April 18, the same day as Pol Gen Surachate’s suspension order was issued, Pol Gen Sarawut was appointed by acting national police chief Pol Gen Kitrat Panphet to lead the investigation panel into the five officers allegedly connected to the BNK Master gambling website.

Following the initial panel discussion yesterday, Pol Gen Sarawut announced that the police officers, including Pol Gen Surachate, will be summoned to a meeting with the panel on May 7. The deadline for the audit and monitoring committees of the police administration Regulations on Probe and Investigation was given.

The regulation ordered the acknowledgement to occur 15 days after the panel was established, or April 22 in this case.

The five officers can postpone the summons if necessary, but not more than the deadline of 270 days per the regulations, Pol Gen Sarawut said.

Regarding Pol Gen Surachate’s request to investigate one of the 14 panel members who he claimed had a personal conflict, Pol Gen Sarawut claimed that the acting national police chief had the final say in regards to the applicant’s qualifications.

Pol Gen Surachate claimed that he had ordered one of his subordinates to return his government car on April 19th, one day after his suspension was issued. He claimed that he had ordered one of his subordinates to pack his belongings in his office at the Royal Thai Police.

Pol Gen Surachate also made it known that he is considering running for the senatorial election and that he wants to do everything in his power to benefit the general public.
