Summer storms to hit northeast Thailand this long weekend

In the southern region, more rainfall is anticipated.

Residents of the northern provinces should take precautions because the region is currently in the grip of storms and gusty winds up until Monday.

The Meteorological Department warned of summer storms that would affect the northern region from Friday to Monday. It added that some provinces in the north, central, and eastern areas should be prepared for weather as well.

” The northern region is forecast for summer winds. The weather service company reported that the climate pattern included loud storms, sluggish winds, and even hail in some places.

Around 20 northern provinces had experience downpours on Saturday, the forecast’s peak time, it added.

More weather is forecast for the counties of Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan on Sunday and Monday, according to the office, while the north region’s temperature will rise.

Regions along the Gulf of Thailand are primarily the ones that are most susceptible to rain in southern regions.

On Thursday, northeastern provinces made up half of the top ten hotspots, with Muang region in Mae Hong Son, where the metal reached a record high of 40°C.
