People should be on the lookout for great winds and thunder, according to the Meteorological Department, but some comfort from days of punishing heat is expected to come from Friday through Tuesday.

According to the report released on Thursday, gusts from the West, Southeast, and South are forecast to reach extremely popular areas in the Central Plains and the nation’s north and northeast areas.

From Friday through Sunday, southwest winds are expected to increase in the northeast and the east. Finally on Monday and Tuesday, winds from the South and Southeast will change the Northeast, East, Central Plains and lower North areas.

Thus, people can expect summer storms — including possible thunderstorms — in the North, Northeast and Central Plains on Friday and Saturday and in the North, Northeast, Central Plains and East from Sunday to Tuesday.

The office predicted that the wet season would officially begin in the third week of this month.
