Stuck in a funk? Why a 4-star hotel staycation in Singapore can help you reset and recharge

A few years back, I found myself in a job groove that doesn’t dissolve. Job felt infinite, desire was non-existent, and weeks passed without any sign of improvement. &nbsp,

Pre-pandemic, I may have done what many Singapore do in times of philosophical ennui: Come on holiday. But this time, yet the thought of planning one felt exhausting. I didn’t include the emotional speed to figure out planes, accommodations, itineraries and, truly, just when to move.

But, as a last resort, I booked a three-night remain at M Social, a four-star motel along Robertson Quay I had recently visited.

AN UNEXPECTED Restore

Despite its obvious beauty of ease, staycations not completely shook my mind. It made more sense for me to leave Singapore if I were going to spend hundreds of dollars and use my monthly left. &nbsp,

But I needed a quick, easy way to reset, without the hassle of planning trips abroad or the exorbitant fuss and frills ( and associated cost ) of a five-star hotel.

Exaggerated expectations? I didn’t realize that until I checked into the lodge, with the sole purpose of escaping my typical office to home routine. I hoped that the change in the environment had at least give me some novelty and lift my intellectual sluggishness.

After three times, I broke through my writer’s wall, rediscovered my stream, and stopped having aggressive thoughts of quitting my job without a backup plan. I checked out on a production high, eventually accomplishing things I’d long procrastinated.
