Starbucks is set to open its new Chinatown outlet in a heritage shophouse with its first dedicated retail area on Monday ( Apr 7 ). It will also feature unique products and a directly encouraged menu.
The two-storey business, located at 37 Smith Street, combines the lively culture of Chinatown with intelligent design, which pays homage to nearby craftsmanship and regional arts, according to a press release.  ,
Customers may discover deliberately customized design and furnishings elements that celebrate Taiwanese culture. These include Starbucks pleasant signs in Mandarin, which were written in standard Chinese calligraphy and wooden carved by artists at Yong Gallery, murals by Singaporean actor Tiffany Lovage, and seating areas inspired by old vacuum board games set-ups.  ,
