St Joseph’s Church stabbing: Man to be charged on Nov 11; police say no evidence attack was religiously motivated

Following the stabbing of a Catholic priest at St. Joseph’s Church in Upper Bukit Timah on Saturday night, a 37-year-old person may be charged in court with deliberately causing severe harm by using a dangerous weapons.

If found innocent, the gentleman, who was not named by the authorities in a press briefing in the early days of Sunday, faces a prison term of up to 15 times, as well as a good or punishment.

There is no current evidence to support a claim that it was an assault carried out in a religious way, according to the authorities.

A portable weapon was used, according to the police, in the attack. Four other arms were even found in the criminal’s hands.
