SRT told to speed up handover of land for HSR line

In order for construction to start, the State Railway of Thailand( SRT) has been given instructions by the Transport Ministry to expedite the transfer of land required for the high-speed rail ( HSR ) project, which would connect three airports serving the Greater Bangkok region.

At a conference of the working group overseeing the project on Wednesday and Monday, Chayatham Phromsorn, everlasting secretary for transportation, issued the directive.

The continuous director stated that the area along the route must be cleared and given to the companies before work on the high-speed rail line connecting Don Mueang aircraft in Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi in Samut Prakan, and U-tapao Airport in Rayong you start.

This includes the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, the Department of Highways, and Rajvithi Home’s property holdings. Behind Ramathibodi Hospital, a hole will be built.

5.47 kilometers of oil and gas pipes are being removed from the Bangkok neighborhoods of Phaya Thai and Bang Sue.

The SRT would receive around 190 meters of pipes that had been installed from Bang Sue to Ban Klang Krung and may deviate from the high-speed road line.

Additionally, drain pipes under the Samsen Canal are being removed by government; the project is expected to be finished in three months.

Next time, work on the high-speed coach project should begin.
