Sri Lanka vows closer ties with China and India’s left

Columbo: On May 1, Sri Lanka’s state pledged closer ties with Socialist parties in China and India, two regional forces vying for control of the tiny but crucial country.

The Communist Party of India (CCP ) and other Communist parties in India hosted the first May Day rally of the leftist government led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Peng Xiubin, a CCP established, claimed that his group had been working with People’s Liberation Front, or JVP, in Colombo during the large protest.

The Chinese official said,” We will make China-Sri Lanka relations even stronger.”

Tilvin Silva, the JVP’s general secretary, expressed hope that improving rural poverty may result from cooperation with China.

” China has done a lot in this area, and we want to find their expertise,” Silva said.

The Communist Party of India ( Marxist ), which governs the state of southern Kerala in India, is a central committee member, according to AR Sindhu, who claims they are inspired by the JVP’s swift ascendancy.

” Yes, Kerala will follow the Sri Lankan path,” we boldly say to the populace. The whole Indian may be acting in the Sri Lankan way, according to Sindhu.
