Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has been praised by a number of evening entertainment business operator associations for his plans to increase the opening hours of bars and nightclubs in order to improve tourism and the economy.
Mr. Srettha is anticipated to ask the cabinet for approval shortly after mentioning this in his opening remarks at the Thailand Economic Outlook 2024 conference on Wednesday.
The policy, according to Damrongkiat Pinitkarn, secretary of the Pattaya City Tourism Association’s Entertainment & amp, would increase spending and draw more tourists to Thailand.
The majority of these establishments is only stay open until evening, but he suggested that this be extended to at least 1am.
Mr. Srettha was consulted by the organization earlier on the subject, and he has responded to its call, according to Mr Damrongkiat.
Pattaya is a significant tourist destination, and more people are coming to the southern area for amusement and enjoyment, according to him.
He noted that many nations have now permitted their nightclubs and restaurants to stay open until 11 a.m., with Spain changing that policy.
