diplomatic relations strengthened in various industries
Following his official visit to the Western country on Wednesday, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced that Thailand and Italy had come to an agreement to improve bilateral participation in a wide range of fields.
Speaking while , in Japan, which he visited after Italy, Mr Srettha said his conversations with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni were successful.
He cited Ms. Meloni’s pledge to support a plan that would allow Thailand to obtain a waiver of its Schengen visa for Thai common passport holders as an example.
With the assistance of Italy, which is currently in charge of the Group of Seven’s leading industrial nations ( G7 ), negotiations between Thailand and other Schengen nations are likely to be successful, according to Mr. Srettha.
Ms Meloni also pledged support for Thailand’s bid to seal a free trade agreement (FTA ) with Italy, he said.
According to him, both parties have also agreed to work together to improve participation in the style and pattern sectors.
Regarding the development of clean energy, Mr. Srettha said that Italy was particularly interested in Thailand’s plan to look into fresh natural gas resources in the Thai-Cambodge overlapping claims areas.
According to Mr. Srettha, the European part made a suggestion for the government to think about hiring more annual Thai workers to work in Italy’s agricultural field during the harvest time.
The plan aligns with the president’s desire to take more Thai workers to a nation that pays them well, he said.
Another important issues at the conference included investment options for Italian traders in the prepared expansions of Thailand’s airports, an area in which Italy has a particular expertise, and the Land Bridge megaproject’s investment opportunities.
The Italian Prime Minister suggested that the two countries work together to create a memorandum of understanding ( MoU) to expand their bilateral cooperation in the agreed areas, according to Mr. Srettha.
According to Mr. Srettha, the Thai martial attaché to Italy will continue to talk with the Italians about potential opportunities for Thailand and Italy to collaborate more strongly on the country’s plan to develop its defense market.
Additionally, Mr. Srettha added that flights between Bangkok and Rome are anticipated to commence in the winter months on July 1st.
The elite is on an established trip to France, Italy and Japan from May 15- 24. He stated that India, Africa, and Turkey are his future vacation destinations for the third and fourth quarters of this year.
