South Korea’s Yoon will not attend first impeachment hearing over safety concerns: Lawyer

Due to safety concerns, South Korea’s president Yoon Suk Yeol’s attorney announced on Sunday ( Jan 12 ) that he would not attend the first hearing of his impeachment trial next week.

He may be re-elected or reinstated at the trial.

Concerns about safety and possible situations have arisen. The leader may not be able to enter the test on January 14 because of this. In a speech to AFP sent to the media, Yoon Kab-keun stated that the president is ready to appear at any time once health concerns are resolved.
