South Koreans use shoes to call for Gaza ceasefire

Activists in South Korea have placed thousands of pairs of shoes in downtown Seoul as they call for a ceasefire in Gaza. The shoes represent Palestinians killed in the ongoing war.

Some 30 activists held signs that read “Stop the war, stop the occupation” and “Lift Gaza siege”.

At least 11,500 people have been killed in Gaza since the conflict began, according to the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry.
