South Korean finance minister Choi resigns

As the country’s parliament was casting its ballot on his impeachment, South Korea’s finance minister, Choi and Sang-mok, submitted a statement on Thursday ( May 1 ), saying his resignation was accepted.

The finance ministry stated in a speech that” Choi’s departure has been accepted.”

In what many believed to be a walk to launch a political charge before a snap election next fortnight, Choi&nbsp was scheduled to take over the acting president at midnight on Thursday, with acting president Han Duck-soo expected to fully retire. &nbsp,

In a statement from the finance ministry, Choi, apologised for stepping down from my position because it has become difficult to carry out my obligations despite the severe economic conditions that exist both domestically and abroad.
