South Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol declares martial law

SEOUL: &nbsp, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol on Tuesday ( Dec 3 ) declared martial law in an unannounced late-night address broadcast live on national television.

Yoon claimed that he had no other choice but to use this measure to protect completely and constitutional order and that the opposition parties had abused the process to bring the nation into crisis.

He also accused the opposition’s Democratic Party of engaging in anti-state activities, and he claimed the government’s management had been paralyzed as a result of its actions.

Yoon said,” I declare martial law to defend the complimentary Republic of Korea from the risk of North Korean socialist forces, to end the hateful pro-North Korean anti-state organizations that are plundering our people’s freedom and happiness, and to defend the free democratic purchase.”

He did not specify what precise steps may be taken in the handle. The legislature building’s gate was reported to be blocked by Yonhap News Agency.

Yonhap said that under the military law, all health workers, including apprentice doctors, would have to return to work in 48 days.

All media and publishers would even now be under the president’s power. Also, those who violate the military rules can be arrested without a permit.

LOCKED IN IMPASSE

Yoon cited a movement by the Democrat Party, which has a majority in parliament, to oust some of the country’s best lawyers and its refusal of a state budget plan.

Over the budget bill for the upcoming year, the mayor’s conservative People Power Party and the Democratic Party had reached a deadlock.

He has also been quick to rip off calling for independent investigations into scandals involving his woman and senior officials, prompting his political rivals to express their disapproval.

Yoon accused opposition lawmakers of slashing” all important budgets vital to the world’s core functions, such as combating drug crimes and maintaining people security,” turning the nation into a haven and a state of chaos in terms of public safety.

Since taking office in 2022, the senator has struggled to advance his plan against an opposition-controlled parliament, whose approval rating has dropped in recent months.

The nation, which had a number of autocratic rulers at the beginning of its history but has been viewed as political since the 1980s, was shocked by the shock statement on Tuesday. The Asian victory was significantly lower than the US dollars.

The White House did not respond to a remark demand right away.
