South Korea deploys sniffer dog to screen for bedbugs after Paris Games

” As the international community is gathering in Paris, France, on the situation of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, there’s a probability bugs may enter the country following the event”, a federal press release said.

” We are thus attempting to capture the entry through the country’s major gateway, the Incheon International Airport,” according to the statement.

As more athletes and officials began emigrating from Paris on Friday ( Aug 9 ) and will continue to work through Sep 8, according to the government, Ceco and his team were deployed.

South Korea sent 144 sports to the Olympics in Paris, which ended on Sunday.

The airport isolation company is prepared to take action if an outbreak is discovered in an aeroplane or the airport, and flights arriving straight from Paris are being disinfected once per week, as opposed to once per month generally.

South Korea even went through a phase of national panic in 2023 after reports of suspected outbreaks at micro-apartments, motel bedrooms and a traditional resort called a” jjimjilbang”, and conducted a common sterilization plan.
