After a fire broke out in the southern Asian town of Bucheon, seven people were killed and a few others were hurt.
Two persons died after jumping onto an air mattress that the fire department had provided after the bed flipped.
Other victims were discovered in areas on the eighth ground, where it is believed the fire started.
Although the fire did not spread throughout the entire structure, the injury was significant because the rooms were unable to have sprinkler systems.
The nine-storey lodge was built in 2003, before the requirement for sprinkler was written into laws, according to the town’s fire department.
The fire was first reported at 21: 39 local time ( 14: 26 BST ) and was extinguished by 22: 26 on Thursday, the department said.
