Three other swimmers contributed bronzes to Singapore’s medal tally on Thursday: Janelle Tong in the women’s 50m freestyle S10, Danielle Moi in the women’s 50m freestyle S14 and Wong Zhi Wei in the men’s 50m freestyle S13.
Team Singapore also won medals in other sports on Thursday, with bronzes picked by Tay Wei Ming in the badminton men’s singles SU5, Toh Sze Ning and Aloysius Gan in the boccia mixed pairs BC3 and Rodrick Li in the table tennis men’s singles TT2.
A total of 26 Team Singapore athletes competed at this year’s ASEAN Para Games in athletics, badminton, boccia, powerlifting, swimming and table tennis. The event concludes on Friday.
Singapore is currently in seventh place in the medal table with 12 golds, 14 silvers and 16 bronzes.
