Two officers, one a talented songwriter, and three citizens are accused of the blackmail of 700, 000 ringgit from two unlawful Chinese citizens on a road to Pattaya. &nbsp, &nbsp,

The two police officers have been detained, but they have been barred from all costs.

On Tuesday, the Pattaya Provincial Court issued permits for the arrests of Provincial Police Region 2’s 30-year-old Pol Sgt Thitiwat Rujiwong and 54-year-old Praderm Sarai, a lieutenant examiner at the Central Investigation Bureau.

Each of them is accused of abuse of authority, coercing or inducing others to turn over assets or benefits, breach of duty by coercing others to do something wrong, coercing them to do it, creating a fear of harm to the victims ‘ lives, bodies, liberty, reputation, or property, and illegal detention or acting in a way to prevent others from getting physical freedom. &nbsp,

On Tuesday, Pol Sgt Thitiwat was detained in the Chon Buri region of Muang. Later in the day, Police Sub-Lt Praderm turned himself in to Nong Prue authorities in Chon Buri. He is known as a talented singer with a video of him singing” ตำรวจจะมา ( Police will come ) ‘ ‘ available on YouTube.

Both denied all claims and were both released on bail on a promise of 400, 000 baht in cash on Tuesday evening. &nbsp,

The court even approved warrants for three different men- Voraphon Kaensawat, 40, Vachira Bannakhon, 48, and Kamol Wangsee, 33- for assisting officials abusing their authority, improper detention and associated offences.

A Toyota Fortuner and a Ford Mountain were stolen from the defendants by police investigators who had searched for two cars with Bangkok license plates.

On July 10, a group of people claiming to be officers compelled a rented vehicle carrying two Chinese citizens to stop for a research on a highway heading to Pattaya, in the Bang Lamung city of Chon Buri, in the Bang Lamung area. &nbsp,

They allegedly kidnapped the Taiwanese people, took them to a property, and demanded that they pay 700,000 ringgit in trade for their freedom.

Their conduct was promptly made known by Provincial Police Region 2 chief Pol Maj Gen Thirachai Chamnanmor, who instantly ordered an investigation. Region 1 and Pattaya police authorities found the two Foreign nationals- Jin Cui, 43, and Chen Wei, 44- at a property in Jomtien region of Pattaya.

The two people fled China to avoid arrest warrants for gambling offenses, it became clear during questioning. They had traveled to Laos early in December and after illegally crossed the Mekong River into Chiang Rai, in the north province. They were taken to a vehicle afterwards sent to get them to Pattaya along the bank next to the Chiang Rai airport.

Soon before reaching the destination town, the alleged fraudsters stopped the car.

The arresting crew took the two men to the Chon Buri emigration company to face charges of illegal entry. They could be deported to China.

They were eventually taken to Nong Prue police station to tell their side of the story about being extorted from 700,000 Baht on the highway leading to Pattaya.
