Singapore’s navy set to get 2 more Invincible-class submarines from 2034

Singapore: Two additional vessels are anticipated to be delivered from 2034 along with the Republic of Singapore Navy’s ( RSN) fleet of Invincible-class submarines.

Ng Eng Hen, the then-Minister for Defence, formerly disclosed in March that the Singapore Armed Forces planned to include two more Invincible-class ships to its existing fleet. &nbsp,

Additionally, Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, a subsidiary of bp, did construct the new arteries.

According to the Ministry of Defense ( MINDEF), they are a part of the navy’s “approach to long-term capability development.”

The Invincible-class boats are designed by the Defence Science and Technology Agency to meet Singapore’s requirements and are leanly crewed by the RS N’s specialized go.

The government added that the military’s ability to protect Singapore’s marine lines of communication will be further enhanced by the purchase of two additional Invincible-class submarines.
