Singapore’s key exports rise 5.4% in March, with growth slowing from previous month

Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports ( NODX ) increased by 5.4 percent in March, but the growth rate decreased from the 7.6 percent that was observed in February. &nbsp,

According to data released by Enterprise Singapore ( EnterpriseSG) on Thursday ( April 17 ), both electronics and non-electronics increased in March.

In a press release, EnterpriseSG stated that devices increased at half the rate in February while non-electronics increased from a small base. &nbsp,

A Reuters surveys had predicted expansion of 14.1 percent.

EnterpriseSG continued, noting that it “is constantly monitoring the changing tax position and will change the 2025 NODX projection as necessary to reflect changing business problems.”

Exports of electronic goods increased by 11.9 % in March from a 6.9 % increase in February on an annual basis. &nbsp,

Electronic product exports increased by 121.4 %, 35.7 %, and 6.6 %, respectively, with the most significant contribution coming from PCs, disk media, and integrated circuits.

Exports of non-electronic products increased by 3.8 % in March, with growth easing from the 7.7 % seen in the previous month. &nbsp,

Ship and boat buildings, non-monetary metal, and pharmaceuticals saw the biggest increases.

EnterpriseSG did not disclose the sector’s buildings ‘ growth rate because exports increased by more than 1,000 % from a low center to a high price.

Non-monetary gold and pharmaceuticals saw a 64.7 % and 24.9 % growth, respectively.
