Singaporeans in Ghana celebrate Chinese New Year with a taste of home

Lacking LOVED ONES

Mr. Law and Ms. Ng said that during the holiday season when meetings occur, they miss family groups and customs the most.

” It was an activity for ( my ) family to basically, after our morning visiting with relatives, go down to a hotel and watch the lion dance display”, said Ms Ng, recalling a typical celebration with her loved ones back in Singapore. &nbsp,

When Mr. Law said,” We take it for granted when we are in the same state for very long. We take it for granted like,’ Oh, this guy is going to ( always ) be there, I can always meet this person’.

However, it hits a little harder than at home when you are so far ahead, when you are on the other side of the globe.

The two expressed gratitude for celebrating Chinese New Year ceremonies with each other and Ms. Joy while praising their loved ones and well-known actions back home.

In the days to come, they added, there will be a lot of picture names with family and friends back home.
