Singaporeans advised to defer all non-essential travel to Bangladesh

SINGAPORE: As the situation in Bangladesh remains “volatile”, Singaporeans are advised to defer all non-essential travel to the country, the&nbsp, Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( MFA ) said on Saturday ( Jul 20 ).

In response to rising crime and presentations, the Bangladeshi government put a global restriction in place on Saturday.

Web companies, wireless information systems, and public transport services have also been disrupted, the department added.

The restriction is intended to stop dangerous student-led protests against the government’s job limits, which have resulted in at least 110 fatalities this week.
