SINGAPORE: A Singaporean man wanted for drug trafficking has been arrested following his deportation from Thailand,  , the Central Narcotics Bureau ( CNB) said on , Thursday ( Sep 19 ).
The 31-year-old was detained by Thai officials on Tuesday, and she was then deported and handed over to CNB. The suspect was identified as Benny Kee Quickly Chuan, according to various Thai media reports.
He may face medicine smuggling charges on Friday.  ,
The man’s suspected links to drug trafficking , was uncovered over the course of CNB’s studies into two different drug trafficking cases in December 2020 and November 2022.
” The accused people in those circumstances, two Singapore aged 21 and 29 at period of imprisonment, were charged for trafficking in large quantities of meth separately”, said CNB.
The past has since been sentenced to 22.5 times ‘ jail , with 15 stroke of the wood, while the latter was jailed for eight years , with seven stroke of the wood.
The 31-year-old was wanted on suspicion of having allegedly supplied medication to affiliates in Singapore, but immigration records revealed that he had been living abroad since April 11, 2016.

Local authorities located the man at a house in Samut Prakan state, which is just north of Bangkok, according to Thai media.
He was discovered to get “living in luxury,” despite not having a source of income or work to support his claim.
Thai press cited the mind of Thailand’s medication enforcement firm as proof that the government had responded to a tip-off from CNB.
The man allegedly sent drugs like snow, ketamine, and joy from Thailand to Singapore and Australia via global message from Thailand.  ,
Assets worth 15 million baht ( US$ 453, 000 ) were also seized from the man, who is believed to have entered Thailand on a Vanuatu passport, according to The Bangkok Post.
Rolex watches, golden chains, jewelry, amulets and money in several currencies were among the products seized, as seen in pictures of the arrest.  ,  ,
Other users of the gang are still being investigated, according to CNB.
” We appreciate our Thai rivals ‘ cooperation and prompt response in bringing the think back to Singapore to confront the law,” said CNB acting director Leon Chan.
” Drug cartels exploit world connectedness to work remotely, creating dangers that extend far beyond edges and having significant effects on the safety and security of our neighborhood community.”
