Singaporean killed, 7 hurt in Phuket car-bus crash

PHUKET: A Singaporean lady was killed plus seven others, which includes her four compatriots, injured when a vehicle she was generating hit a small trip bus while arriving downhill on a hilly road Muang region on Friday evening.

The particular accident was reported around 10. 50pm, said Pol Capt Charnnarong Prakhongkua, a study officer at Karon police station.

Police, disaster prevention and mitigation officials and recovery workers arrived at the scene and discovered a badly damaged Toyota Yaris along with Phuket licence discs and a small whitened bus with Phuket licence plates as well as a broken windscreen on Patak Road in tambon Karon.

A preliminary investigation found that the vehicle was travelling through tambon Chalong in order to tambon Karon. While the car was coming downhill, the driver dropped control of her automobile, causing it to hit the bus, which usually earlier took a group of tourists to Kata beach.

The impact of the crash caused 5 Singaporean tourists including the driver, the bus driver and 2 guides to maintain injuries.  

The hurt from both automobiles were rushed to Chalong and Vachira Phuket hospitals.

The Singaporean woman driver had been unconscious at the picture and succumbed to accidents on the way to the medical center.

On Saturday, Pol Luxury touring Ekkachai Siri, an inspector if Phuket Tourist Police, disclosed details of the dead and injured sufferers in the crash.

The driver who was killed was identified as Ho Jia Hui Renee, 21. The four other injured Singaporeans –two as well as two women – were Byran Teo Li Yan, thirty, Poh Mao Xin, 30, Pang Jiang Ning Eliana, twenty one, and Ng Ja Xin, 66.

The three injured people in the coach were bus motorist Anirut Chomcherd, thirty-two, Nuengruethai Raknawa, 43, and South Korean woman Sang-min Shelter, 41.

Police investigation has been continuing to find the exact cause of the accident.
