Singaporean actors Desmond Tan, Romeo Tan and Felicia Chin discuss competition among fellow artistes

” Although the]Seven Princesses ] was something created by the media, how did you feel when you were announced as one of them”? Christopher asked Felicia.

” Okay, it’s a pretty name. The positive aspect of it was that no matter where we went, there was always a discussion on the table. However, the one thing I did n’t like was how I would be asked how we ranked among ourselves. If you said you ranked seven, people would say you’re fake”, said Felicia.

” I feel at days, the competition was bad. I can recall a situation where we all attended an event for the same present. I dressed up for the event, but later, there was feedback about how I]intentionally ] dressed better than another’ princess’. I became quite self-conscious, and wondered if I should clothing down. I was only in my 20s, and I did n’t know what to think of it”.

Felicia then claimed that the group’s inclusion meant there was n’t really a chance for her to develop a relationship with the other six princesses.

She regrets it because she thinks it’s beneficial to have coworkers of the same time so they can help one another. She uses Chantalle Ng, Carrie Wong, He Yingying, and Bonnie Loo as examples.

When Christopher inquired about being a Duke, Romeo joked,” When I first learned about it, I wondered if we were going to form a boy channel.”

Desmond, on the other hand, had stronger ideas about being part of the group.

” When I heard the news, my first query was’ For what? ‘. I thought the same thing as Romeo, like,’ Were we going to film a present up?’ After that, we were told that we would still remain doing our own things differently, but we were really grouped together in the same fashion as the Seven Princesses”, said Desmond.

” Honestly, I was very opposed to it up then. I have a lot of self-assurance in both my career and my job. I did n’t want to be grouped together with others, in the sense that my career had to operate with a’ template’. We all entered the field at various points as well, so I was actually opposed to it.

Romeo said:” I did n’t dislike being part of the Eight Dukes. We were all at great spots in our career, but when we were put up, I felt like we had strength in numbers, and people would know more about us. Although we did n’t last very long, I was quite happy to be a part of it.
