SINGAPORE: According to medical protocol, the Singapore Civil Defence Force ( SCDF) reported on Tuesday( Oct 24) that a Singapore Sports School student who passed away after becoming ill after undergoing sex testing was taken to the National University Hospital( NUH ).
In response to questions about why 14-year-old Pranav Madhaik was certainly taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, which is closer to the class in Woodlands, the SCDF said that NUH is equipped with pediatric emergency medical services and was the fastest solution at the time.
SCDF provided a timetable of its reply, stating that on October 5, at around 6.50 p.m., it was called for assistance.
After a 400-meter health time trial earlier that evening, the boy, who belonged to the school’s badminton academy, reported feeling depressed.
The Secondary 2 pupil was reportedly found lying on the ground next to a running track when the SCDF arrived at around 7 o’clock. & nbsp,
Pranav, who was awake and able to speak generally at the time, received immediate attention from a nurse.
When Pranav was carried into the hospital, his vital signs, such as his heart rate and blood gas degree, were determined to remain secure.
However, the emergency crew gave Pranav oxygen and instructed him to control his breathing because his blood pressure was lower and he was feeling out of breath. The team also lifted his arms to increase the flow of blood.
Pranav’s body pressure had improved by about 7.20 p.m.
Pranav was transported to National University Hospital because it has pediatric emergency medical facilities, in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s and SCDFs’ health protocols for stable patients under the age of 16.
Go to NUH was quicker at the time, despite the fact that Khoo Teck Puat Hospital does not have pediatric emergency medical services, according to the SCDF.
The ambulance crew noticed that the boy started to feel sleepy on the way to NUH, & nbsp.
” The nurse quickly informed NUH of the patient’s condition and instructed them to be prepared to receive the patients. At around 7.35 p.m., the ambulance arrived at the hospital, and Pranav was given to the crisis group there, who were waiting to receive him, according to SCDF.
