Singapore: According to data released by the Department of Statistics( SingStat ) on Thursday, October 5, Singapore’s retail sales increased by 4 % year over year, continuing the 1.3 percent increase in July.
Retail sales increased by 3.7 %, higher than the 0.6 % increase in July, excluding motor & nbsp and vehicles.

According to SingStat, the majority of wholesale companies saw year-over-year increases in sales in August compared to the previous year.
The food and alcohol sector saw a 24.1 percent increase in & nbsp. Similar to this, & nbsp saw an increase in sales of mini-marts andamp, convenience stores, and computer and telecom equipment, respectively.
However, sales at department stores and gas stations decreased by 5.2 % and 2.7 %, respectively.
