Singapore reports 10th case of monkeypox infection

SINGAPORE: Singapore on Tuesday (Jul 26) reported one more case of monkeypox illness, bringing the total number of cases in the country given that June to ten.

The sufferer is a 28-year-old Taiwanese man who comes from Singapore and lately returned from Canada, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an  update on the website .  

He first developed signs and symptoms on Jul 22, including a fever, headache, muscle aches and pain. This individual subsequently also developed a rash, said MOH.

The man wanted medical attention on Wednesday and was accepted to the National Center for Infectious Diseases the same day, stated the ministry.

He is in stable condition and get in touch with tracing is on-going.

The male’s infection is not connected to any of the earlier monkeypox cases.
