The Singapore Food Agency ( SFA ) said on Friday ( Nov 22 ) that the importer, Cheese Club Singapore Pte Ltd, has voluntarily recalled , Fruitiere des Jarrons ‘ Mont d’Or after one of its suppliers in France pulled the product over potential contamination.
The damaged cheese was produced in deals weighing 500g, 725g, or 2.5 kg, and is available in France.  ,
Hepatitis is caused by the microbes Yersinia enterocolitica in both people and animals.
Sources of disease may include raw or undercooked meat, cheese products, contaminated plants, shellfish, and drinking water.
Even at the smallest levels of pollution in dairy products pose a significant threat because the bacteria can grow quickly at room temperature.
