SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Manpower ( MOM) on Monday ( Aug 5 ) released the dates of Singapore’s public holidays for 2025, with four long weekends.  ,
On Monday or Friday, the fourth of the common festivals in 2019 occur.
A Monday is the day with three common holidays:
- 31-Mar-Mar Hari Raya Puasa
- Vesak Day ( May 12 )
- Deepavali ( Oct 20 )
One common holiday falls on a Friday:
- Good Friday ( Apr 18 )
The other festivals are:
- New Year’s Day ( Jan 1 )
- Chinese New Year ( Jan 29 and Jan 30 )
- Labour Day ( May 1 )
- Hari Raya Haji ( 7 July )
- 9 ) National Day
- Christmas ( Dec 25 )
People who are required to operate on a people holiday are entitled to an additional week pay at the standard rate of pay, according to MOM, in addition to their gross pay for that day.
Employers and employees may agree to swap a working day for a common trip.
Employers also have the option of granting time-off-in-lieu, based on a mutually agreed number of hours, for working on a public holiday for the following group of employees: Workmen earning more than S$ 4, 500 ( US$ 3, 400 ) a month, non-workmen earning more than S$ 2, 600 a month, and all managers and executives.
