Singapore Parliament observes one minute of silence as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth’s association with Singapore continues to be marked around the city, said Microsoft Indranee.

Queenstown – Singapore’s first satellite town, and  Queen At the Walk, were named to commemorate her coronation in 1953, she pointed out.

“Places and streets in Queenstown are usually named after locations in Scotland exactly where she spent time during her the child years, such as Strathmore, Forfar and Sterling.   Princess Elizabeth Principal School in Bukit Batok was also called after her, ” said Ms Indranee.

“We possess kept these place and school names. They record areas of our history and reflect our ongoing high regard on her late Majesty and our enduring pleasant relations with the United Kingdom. ”

Eventually, Queen Elizabeth’s loss of life marks the “end of an era”, said Ms Indranee.

“On behalf of the House, I would like to increase our deepest condolences to his Majesty King Charles 3 and the Royal As well as to the people from the United Kingdom on the transferring of her past due Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, ” she added.
