MAKING GOOD PROGRESS
According to PM Lee, all 34 activities across the pre-existing EP columns have made good progress.
We look forward to the upcoming workout Thunder Warrior in 2025 and thank New Zealand for its long-standing support for the Singapore Armed Forces ‘ military training in Waiouru.
Both countries are also pursuing concrete cooperation under the “Climate Change and Green Economy ” pillar , which was added in 2022, including in low-carbon options for green aircraft.
“We are also exploring cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation, including in data research and future products, ” added PM Lee.
Additionally, the officials of both countries agreed to raise the EP next year, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of political relations between the two nations.
“We will investigate future‐oriented efforts in places such as green aviation, the green market and supply chains, ” said PM Lee.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of an open, inclusive rules-based multilateral order that supports Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN ) Centrality on a regional and geopolitical front.
Additionally, next year will mark 50 centuries of discourse between New Zealand and the regional bloc.
PM Lee welcomed work by Mr Luxon’s authorities to strengthen New Zealand’s wedding in this region.
“New Zealand may contribute significantly to ASEAN’s inclusion in the modern and green economies, ” he said.
Noting PM Lee’s intention to move down this month, Mr Luxon even paid tribute to the Singaporean leader’s devotion to the Singapore-New Zealand marriage over the career of his league.
It is only appropriate that we acknowledge the reputation you leave for Singapore, the area, and the world. You are regarded as a world leader of the highest attempt, he said, which is quite appropriate.
I want to thank you for your friendship and the wise counsel you’ve offered over the years to me, New Zealand, and another excellent officials. ”
The Dendrobium Christopher Luxon, a fresh flower crossbreed, was given to Mr. Luxon in his honor earlier in the day.
PM Lee even hosted his New Zealand equivalent to an official breakfast, where he highlighted both countries ’ near people‐to‐people relationships, noting that close to 140,000 New Zealanders visited Singapore last month, while over 47,000 travelled in the same way.
