” Afterwards in her career, Dr. Lee wrote paper rows, where she shared her philosophical outlook on life as well as tales of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew,” said Mr. Wong.

Mr. Lee Hsien Yang made Dr. Lee’s dying known in a Facebook post on Wednesday at 5:30 am. She suffered from , progressive supranuclear palsy ( PSP), a rare brain disease that affects body movements such as walking and swallowing.
A high-achieving pupil, she was awarded the President’s Scholarship in 1973, alongside Mr George Yeo and Mr Lim Hng Kiang, who would go on to be Cabinet officials.
Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean, who was also in that batch of President’s Scholars,  , described Dr Lee as a “passionate and dedicated people”, who “put her all into what she did, in special as a md”.
In a Instagram post, he wrote,” Over the past five years, we’ve had a number of serious debate on issues that have important significance to her, such as early childhood education.”
