Singapore kayaker Stephenie Chen finishes 7th in Final C at Paris Olympics

SINGAPORE: Singapore kayaker Stephenie Chen advanced to the&nbsp, women’s K1 500m Final C on Saturday ( Aug 10 ).

Competing in Last C, where there was no possibility of a prize, Chen finished 7th and 23rd general out of 40 kayakers with a day of&nbsp, 1m 56.55s.

She advanced to the last earlier in the day by placing sixth out of eight in the semi-final in 1m 55.15s. &nbsp,

Chen is&nbsp, the second Singaporean paddler to create an Olympic final.

Chen punched her seat for the Paris Olympics after finishing second in the&nbsp, children’s K1 500m&nbsp, last at the ACC&nbsp, Canoe Sprint &amp, Paracanoe Asian Championships.

She is a five-time SEA Games fighter and won gold at the 2022 Eastern Games.

In the 2012 London&nbsp, Games, Geraldine Lee was unable to advance past the semi-final level, finishing 22nd out of 25 nevertheless.
