Singapore condemns ‘heinous attack’ at Catholic mass in the Philippines

Two Filipino members of a militant group that supports the Islamic State were identified by Spanish authorities on Wednesday as suspects in the attack.

Police local director Brigadier General Allan Nobleza stated at a press conference that the two defendants, Kadapi Mimbesa and Arsani Membiso, belonged to the Dawlah Islamiyah- Maute party.

According to Nobleza, a fourth person who is still unnamed served as an eyeout for the assailants.

According to Nobleza,” we are using all of our tools to make sure that the criminals are put behind bars so they can solution for their crimes.”

One of the pro-Islamic Express organizations that put Marawi under assault in 2017 was Maute. After a five-month fight that claimed more than 1, 000 lives, the Spanish military reclaimed the destroyed city.
