The Singapore National Paralympic Council( SNPC) also revealed on Wednesday that sniper Daniel Chan had reserved a spot in Paris for the paralymppics the following year.
Chan, who placed second in the people’s 10m air revolver SH1 on Tuesday, was the swimmer with the highest ranking who had not otherwise qualified for the Games, according to SNPC.
The SNPC added that this is Singapore’s first Olympic firing parasport qualification.
With two silvers and two statues, Singapore is already ranked 21st in the Asian Para Games award table.
Toh Wei Soong, a silver medalist in the 400-meter freestyle S7, and table tennis player Claire toh, who took home joint bronze in Class 1 – 2 women’s singles, are the other athletes from the nation who competed at the Games this year.
