SINGAPORE: On Friday, January 5, Shiok Kitchen Catering’s expulsion, which had been in place since December of last year due to numerous cases of hepatitis, was lifted.
After the Ministry of Health ( MOH) and the Singapore Food Agency ( SFA ) received reports of gastroenteritis, the company’s operations were halted as of December 14.
According to MOH and SFA on Friday, 125 individuals developed diarrhea after consuming meals prepared by Shiok Kitchen Catering between December 4 and December 9.
They were n’t all taken to the hospital.  , Those affected either sought inpatient care, self-medicated, or made a full recovery on their own.
According to the government, the catering business has  , implemented the necessary stipulated steps, and can now begin operations.  ,
Shiok Kitchen Catering disposed of all ready-to-eat meals, thawed foods, and perishable food items during the disqualification period.
It sanitized and cleaned their facilities, including the tools and items. Floors, tables, and floors used for food preparation were also disinfected.  ,
Food managers and food hygiene officials at Shiok Kitchen Catering reenrolled in and successfully completed their corresponding courses in food safety and hygiene.
The business has also taken further actions, such as replacing their snow storage boxes, kitchen scale, and under-counter chiller. According to MOH and SFA, mosquito control procedures were also carried out on their property.  ,
