
The Singapore Democratic Party ( SDP ) has rejected a request from the minister for home affairs and law K Shanmugam to modify a correction order that was issued against it for its statements regarding three women who are accused of organizing a procession without a permit along the Istana.  ,
The Ministry of Home Affairs ( MHA ) stated in a media release on Friday ( Apr 11 ) that the Minister for Home Affairs and for Law has determined that there is no , merit to the application and has rejected it.
The people allegedly organized the march on February 2, 2024 in support of the Arab cause. They were detained on June 27, 2013, for people get offenses.
Two days later, on June 29, the SDP received a correction order under the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act ( POFMA ) for fabricating two falsehoods in its social media posts: that the three women were accused of organizing support for the Palestinian people, and that the government and a minister prosecuted the three women because they had voiced opinions that the government did not support.

The SDP claimed to have applied to Mr. Shanmugam to change the POFMA get in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
