Shahjahan Bhuiyan: Bangladesh’s deadliest executioner dies

Bangladesh’s deadliest assassin, who hanged prolific murders and politicians everywhere and even wrote a book about it, has died.

Shahjahan Bhuiyan, 74, was admitted to clinics on Monday in the country’s capital, Dhaka, after complaining of neck pains.

He eventually died while undergoing treatment, native press statement.

According to reports, Bhuiyan is responsible for at least 26 killings, but up to 60 are reported.

A previous revolution, he became a torturer while serving a 42- time jail sentence for robbery and murder.

Bhuiyan’s desire to reduce his jail time by working as an assassin was rewarded last time when he was released ten years earlier.

Among those who died at his fingers were defense officers found guilty of killing the government’s foundation head, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman- parents of Bangladesh’s current prime minister.

Additionally, he executed serial criminal Ershad Shikder, as well as political figures Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan Mujahid, both of whom were accused of war crimes.

Bhuiyan had always defended his role as a hangman, reportedly saying,” If I did n’t hang them, someone else would”.

A book about his activities, including an argument of the hanging process, was released earlier this year and attracted considerable notice.

Bhuiyan recently married a woman who was 50 years his junior after being released from prison, and the result was authorized difficulties, according to the Dhaka Tribune.
