Following a 10-day hunt, a police shootout led to the death of the suspect in a Malay shopping mall killing event. &nbsp,

According to local news agency Bernama, Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan reported that the man, who is allegedly connected to the recent attack at Setia Alam mall, was found in a joint operation by the Bukit Aman and Selangor Criminal Investigation Departments at around 3am on Tuesday ( Feb 18 ).

” A fight occurred inside a hotel room and the suspect was shot dead”, Hussein said in a speech, as quoted by Bernama. &nbsp,

Hussein added that during the attack at a motel in Pulau Ketam in Klang on Tuesday night, two filled firearms were discovered in the perpetrator’s possession.

According to local media, it is still unclear whether the suspect planned to flee the area or hide out on Pulau Ketam. &nbsp,

The suspect, who had nine previous legal records, including one for a drug-related crime and seven for assault, had been hiding at the resort for the past two weeks, said Hussein on Tuesday. &nbsp,

Prior, the authorities had previously identified the suspect as a neighborhood man in his 30s. &nbsp,

The person allegedly shot a cleaner at Setia City Mall in Selangor on February 8 after driving about 40 minutes outside of Kuala Lumpur. The suspect then attempted to flee by boarding a mother’s car and holding them for 45 days while attempting to flee.

According to earlier reports from Selangor officers, the suspect fired four shots at a cleaner before entering the plaza, injuring the union’s legs and buttocks, before fleeing to another ground and continuing to shoot extra shots. &nbsp,
