Senior cops transferred after unreported armed holdup at illegal casino

Five senior officers on Din Daeng law enforcement station were transferred and will be investigated subsequent an unconfirmed three hundred, 000-baht robbery in a gambling den working illegally within their jurisdiction in Bangkok early Wednesday morning.

Pol Maj Gen Jirasan Kaewsaeng-ek, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Agency,   said upon Thursday that the Noise Daeng station key and four subordinates responsible for investigation and crime suppression had been transferred.

He said the particular gambling den has been operating at an older snooker club on Pracha Songkhro 6 Road. The officers would be investigated to determine if they had been lax in enforcing legislation against gambling.

A 22-second-long video posted in the Survive page within Facebook on Wednesday showed a man using what appears to be a hand gun scaring away individuals at a gambling table and snatching lots of banknotes through boxes.

The man was wearing an orange cover, shorts and dark shirt and had the tattoo on his lower left arm.

The administrator of the Facebook page had written that the incident happened early on Wednesday early morning and identified the robber as “Mac Anusawaree”.

It was claimed the particular robber stole about 300, 000 baht.

Pol Maj Gen Jirasan said police experienced yet to decide if they could take legal action because nobody had filed a complaint about a thievery and police had yet to find out if the robber had a genuine gun.
