KOTA KINABALU: The lookup and rescue (SAR) operation continued upon Monday (Aug 22) for the man believed to have been mauled with a crocodile while fishing at a Semporna river on Sundau (Aug 21).

“The operation postponed at 10. 53pm on Weekend and resumed at 7. 01am Mon.
“The research is via the ‘water surface’ method, utilizing a rescue boat along Sungai Pegagau.
“There is no mobile phone line coverage in the location, and info will be updated from time to time, ” a Fire plus Rescue Department spokesman said.
The victim Azman Tugau, 35, was bombarded by a crocodile whilst fishing with his aunty at Sungai Pegagau at around 3pm on Sunday (Aug 21).
These were fishing at the water bank when he or she was snatched by reptile, while the cousin managed to flee.
