BMA reacts to a US travel advice that advises monitoring at LGBTQ events around the world.
According to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ( BMA ), security will be given priority during the city’s Pride event scheduled for June 1.
The BMA was responding to a US Department of State’s recommendation for a “vigilant” and “aware” global travel advisory when people were asked to remain “vigilant” and “aware” while attending events for Pride Month worldwide. There were no particular threats or go advices made.
According to City Hall, safety measures are a key component of events taking place in Bangkok’s money.
