Following the discovery of two rotting dead in a nearby pond on Friday, the water source in Chon Buri’s Sattahip area had to be temporarily shut down.

Residents who had noticed the smell and called authorities over the dam, which supplies the neighborhood group, discovered the men’s bodies.

The men were thought to have died two to three days earlier, most plausible after falling from their boats while online fishing or being exhausted. The systems have been transported to Bangkok for an examination.

Since the dam supplies water for regular use throughout the district, pervasive fear was sparked by the discovery, which was expressed on social media.

The Sattahip branch of Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Plc ( Eastwater ) posted a video and photos of a cleaning operation in the reservoir and the release of its contents shortly after the bodies were found and recovered.

All water discharges from the tank were suspended soon after the bodies were discovered on Friday, according to a timetable provided by Eastwater. After the tank was drained and cleaned, distribution just resumed on Saturday morning, according to the statement.

One native tenant, identified only as Wisarut, said the tap water at his apartment appeared discoloured and had an taste. He questioned whether the photo’s image of the damaged pond was accurate because it appeared to be smaller.

He likewise urged the authorities to take safety measures to stop another affair from occurring.
