After returning to the UK from Pakistan, Sara Sharif’s father, mother, and brother were all detained on suspicion of murder.
At around 19:45 BST, Urfan Sharif, 41, his family Beinash Batool, 29, and his brother Faisal Malik, 28, were detained at Gatwick Airport after boarding a flight from Dubai.
Three persons were in prison, according to the police, and would be interviewed.
On August 10, Sara’s body was discovered at her house in Woking.
The day before officers discovered Sara’s system, the three people who shared a home with her left the UK for Pakistan.
A post-mortem investigation revealed she had suffered numerous, serious wounds.
According to Police in Surrey, Sara’s family has been informed of the most recent advances and is receiving assistance from officials.
The investigation was” extremely fast – moving, challenging, and complex ,” according to the force.
Five months after the group left the UK, on Wednesday night, the trip touched down in London Gatwick just before 19:30 BST.
A group of individuals — possibly police officers — could be seen boarding the aircraft. Later, with blue lights flashing, two police vehicles and three vans departed the pole.
Early on Wednesday morning, Sara’s parents, family, and nephew flew to Dubai from an airport in Sialkot, Punjab.
The three reportedly traveled of their own free will, according to Pakistani authorities.
Sara’s five sisters, who were between the ages of one and thirteen when they traveled to Pakistan with the three individuals, are still housed in a local government service.
On Monday, they were discovered at the residence of Mr. Sharif’s father in Jhelum, north-eastern Pakistan.
Two weeks before Sara was discovered, on August 8, at around 22:00 BST, a travel agent in Woking reported to the BBC that Mr. Sharif had contacted them and asked them to guide one-way tickets to Pakistan as soon as possible.
Shortly after landing in Islamabad on 10 August, Mr Sharif contacted emergency services in the UK, which led Police in Surrey to the family home and Sara’s body.
The group of adults were the subject of an international research conducted by Interpol, with Pakistani police attempting to find them on behalf of Surrey detectives.
In a video statement released last week, Mr. Sharif and Ms. Batool claimed they had fled to Pakistan out of concern that the local police do” rape or kill” them.
They added that they were prepared to work with the UK government and that their family members had been harassed.
In the movie, Mr. Sharif remained silent while Ms. Batool read from a book. Since Sara’s passing, it had been the first moment they had made a public comment.
The five kids had been staying at Muhammad Sharif’s home in Jhelum since their appearance on August 10, according to the father of Sara, who told the BBC.
Following a judge hearing in Pakistan on Tuesday, they were transferred to an official care facility, though the jury did not specify how much they should remain there.
