A Russian has been detained at a hotel on Koh Samui, according to police. The Russian is suspected of being involved in the mobile fraud gang in Cambodia connected to family-debt murders in Samut Prakan.

A Provincial Police Region 8 group led by Pol Maj Kitti Daengchai detained Daniil Aldunenkov, 31, on Sunday night at the Panorama Hotel in the Koh Samui area while armed with a subpoena issued by Samut Prakan Court on August 31.

He is accused of using his bank accounts and electronic cards fraudulently, uploading fake or distorted data into a computer program, and harming other people.

When officers arrived and arrested Mr. Aldunenkov, he was sitting in front of his place with a family. He was brought to Samut Prakan and given to the Bang Kaew law for legal actions.

Police believe Mr. Aldunenkov is involved in the run of a Cambodian mobile scam gang.

Sanit Dokmai, 41, is thought to have killed his wife Wipaporn Racha, 44, and their sons, 9 and 13, on August 28 at their Bang Phli neighborhood house in Samut Prakan as a result of the group’s dishonesty.

Mr. Sanit cut his own mouth and wrist in an unsuccessful attempt to end his life. He is receiving medical attention in a clinic.

According to reports, his wife was attempting to assist her husband in paying off a bill when she was duped into using an online loan app and defrauded of 1.7 million baht. The distraught husband threatened to lose his home, killed her and their kids, and then made an attempt on his own existence. For con artists connected to the website scam, police investigators were able to obtain arrest warrants.

Authorities had jury subpoenas to arrest 11 defendants who opened bank accounts for the swindlers, according to deputy police chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn earlier. In addition, & nbsp,
