Russian KO'd by new drinking 'friend'

After their altercation early on Monday night, a Soviet man was punched to the ground by his new having partner. They needed an immediate treatment.

Around 3 a.m., Pattaya police were called to property 138 and 58 in the View Point cover complex on Chaiyapruek 1 Road.

There they found Igor Yasilyev, 36, &nbsp, unconscious on the floor. Before bringing him to the doctor, the rescue workers had to perform a treatment.

His companion Piyada Barason, 22, said Mr Yasilyev had been drinking at the apartment with six friends, four of them immigrants. He had only just met one of them. Both men were inebriated and engaged in a heated discussion.

The new companion stood up and punched Mr Yasilyev, who fell down. His head hit the floor and he lay there bleeding and incapacitated, Ms Piyada said.

The believe fled. He was being sought by authorities.
