PHUKET: A rumour that another case of monkeypox has been detected on this island province is certainly groundless, provincial health office chief Kusak Kukiatkoon said last night.
The particular rumour — that the woman was discovered to have the viral condition — spread close to Phuket on Tuesday. She allegedly acquired close relations using the Nigerian who was Thailand’s first confirmed case of monkeypox. He or she later fled the particular kingdom and had been arrested in Phnom Penh.
Dr Kusak stated another suspected monkeypox case involves the Thai man outdated 40 who got no link to the particular Nigerian.
The Thai guy went to Thalang Hospital to see a doctor on Tuesday and has been later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for the PCR test designed for monkeypox. The result should come out within a few days, Dr Kusak said.
