Rosmah files application to disqualify High Court judge in corruption trial

KUALA LUMPUR: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has filed an application to disqualify High Court determine Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan from presiding over her data corruption trial involving the RM1. 25bil solar crossbreed project in Sarawak.

The determine is scheduled to deliver his decision in late the defence’s situation on Thursday (Sept 1) morning.

The eleventh-hour app was filed via Messrs Akberdin & Co yesterday afternoon.

In her notice of movement, Rosmah said on Aug 26, she had come across a write-up by Raja Petra Kamaruddin titled “Rosmah Mansor Will Be Pronounced Guilty On first September 2022”.

She said the lady was shocked to have read the article which usually stated that the judgment against her has been ready and that it was not prepared by the particular judge himself but rather prepared on his behalf.
