Walk follows successful trials of robot-assisted techniques in Bangkok.
Following a powerful test at Rajavithi Hospital, robot-aided surgery may be offered in more common hospitals, in an effort to raise the standard of care provided by the government, according to the Department of Medical Services.
Rajavithi Hospital began offering mechanical procedure in 2020, as part of a project initiated by the Ministry of Public Health, said Dr Amporn Benjapolpitak, the head of the department.
Since its launch, the clinic had performed 664 robot- assisted medical procedures- including 228 prostate operations, 151 liver operations, 108 maternal or gynaecology- relevant procedures, 22 dental neoplasia treatments, and 17 lung operations.
” The public comments was outstanding, with clients reporting shorter periods of recuperation and rehabilitation, yet after complicated surgery”, Dr Amporn said.
The office was keen to expand the service , to more facilities in other regions.
” We intend to expand the services so that more people can receive this care,” the company said. We may even focus on improving our owner’s ability to operate the products, along with improving inter- medical cooperation to facilitate individual transfers”, she said.
